This is a letter of recommendation for Abby Chase and her business. I could not have been more pleased with the services provided by her.

She cared for my English Springer recently during a 10-day vacation. I have rarely kenneled my “Buddy”, so was a little nervous leaving him in someone else’s care. Buddy is an “only child” and was wondering how he would react to other dogs. The beauty of Abby’s business is that the dogs are not “kenneled” all day in small kennels-they are part of her family while in her care. Abby, without prompting, texted me with updates and even pictures of Buddy interacting with the other dogs as they got acquainted. The peace of mind this communication gave me during my vacation was wonderful.

Add to this that my beloved “field dog” needed medicine daily for allergies which Abby gladly and kindly administered, makes me happy to offer this letter of recommendation.

A year ago we found ourselves in a predicament - we had to move into a rental home because our new home was not yet completed, and we had no place to house our Collie. We called a number of boarding services throughout Davis and Weber areas, but no one could help us for the two-month period. We eventually, however, were fortunate enough to find Abby at Abby's Dog House. Our experience with Abby was remarkable. She was easy to work with and excellent in maintaining communication. When we were eventually reunited with our Collie we found her in excellent health - physically and emotionally. Since then we have utilized Abby's services on a number of different occasions. We consider her a consummate professional.

I can't say enough good things about Abby's Dog House! I took my 6-month Husk doodle, Macie, there for a three-day stay while I went out of town, and she had a blast! Abby clearly loves and cares about each and every dog that she welcomes in.

Abby has unbeatable prices, was flexible, and responsive to questions via text and call. She sent me occasional updates to let me know how Macie was doing and even sent a couple pictures!

Macie had so much fun that she was bummed for the two days after she came home. She definitely missed all her new friends and the “home away from home” that she found with Abby.

Abby watched my 6yr. Old Boston, Sookie, for the first time this past Christmas. Sookie can be quite a handful sometimes! I think Abby did an amazing job with her. She was very professional and knew which dogs Sookie would get along with. She has a lot of energy and plays better with bigger dogs. Throughout the 10 days Sookie spent with Abby, she texted me pictures and kept me posted on how my dog was doing. I have never experienced this with other kennels Sookie has stayed at. Abby's service was above and beyond what I was expecting. She is genuine, loves dogs, and cared for mine as if she were her own. Her prices are very reasonable. I love the design of Abby's kennel. There is plenty of room for the dogs inside and outside, it is a crate less environment. My dog got plenty of exercise and social time. When I picked Sookie up, she was very happy, bathed, and ready for a nap! I highly recommend Abby's Dog House and will continue to bring Sookie here.

My wife and I were nervous to leave our pit bull/boxer mix when we left down for a few days. Our dog is our baby, and it's hard for us to leave him in anyone else's care but our own. We found Abby on Google and called her just to ask some questions and get some information. Abby was so kind and offered to have us bring our dog over for a trial run. From the moment we got there, it was obvious to see how much Abby loved all of the dogs in her care. You could tell how excited our dog was when we dropped him off the next day. Abby sent us pictures and several updates a day! It was reassuring to know our pup was in such great hands, having so much fun!
